• Our preferred file format is vector art created in Adobe Illustrator.
We also accept the following programs:
• Adobe Illustrator (all versions)
• Adobe Photoshop (all versions)
• Quark Xpress 3.1 to 4.0
• Macromedia Freehand, if exported to "Adobe Illustrator" format
• Corel Draw, if type is converted to "curves", and the file is exported to "Adobe Illustrator" format.
Additional Details:
The art department uses a Macintosh operating system and sofware and cannot guarantee the compatibility of art sent from the Windows platform. However, some programs will carry the image across operating systems. Example: Illustrator and Photoshop for Windows will work on the Mac, please save as ".eps" files (Mac Preview) and fonts should always be outlined.
For spot color separations, artwork must be in vector format created in applications such as Illustrator or Freehand.
Adobe Photoshop tiff files, usually for process color printing, must have a resolution of 300 pixels per inch or higher when close to print size.
DO NOT send JPEG or GIF files for production purposes, we can only use these files for reference when creating artwork.
When supplying Quark Xpress documents be sure to include all fonts and imported graphics.
For PC text documents please save as text only. We are unable to use clip art used in MS Word or Powerpoint documents.
Please be sure to outline all typset characters in your vector illustrations or include your Macintosh fonts with the files you send. DO NOT send PC fonts.
Please note: artwork that fails to meet our guidelines may need to be recreated and will be billed at an hourly rate.
